What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website can save in your browser to remember information between visits (for example a preference or a previous choice). Some sites also use similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage) — the data stays only on your device, not on a server.

What the Cariera Cobani site actually uses, right now

The carieracobani.md site does NOT currently place any tracking cookie and does not use any analytics or marketing service. The only thing saved locally, in your browser, is the choice you make in the cookie banner — so we don't ask again on every visit.

This entry is strictly necessary — without it, the cookie banner would reappear on every page.

Optional categories — prepared, but not currently active

The preferences panel on the site shows two optional categories, prepared for possible future needs. Neither is actually installed right now:

Analytics — no traffic-analytics service (e.g. Google Analytics) is installed on the site at the moment. If one is ever introduced, it will only run for visitors who explicitly turn this category on.
Marketing — no marketing pixel or service (e.g. Meta Pixel, Google Ads) is installed on the site at the moment. If one is ever introduced, it will only run for visitors who explicitly turn this category on.

Third-party providers actually used

The Contact page includes an indicative distance estimator (the “From Cobani to your project” section). When you enter a town/address and click the estimate button, your browser sends that address directly to two public OpenStreetMap mapping services — Nominatim (to find the address's coordinates) and OSRM/Project OSRM (to calculate an indicative driving route) — to return the result. These services are not used for tracking or marketing, only functionally, and only when you actively use this tool; the address you enter and your device's IP address reach those external services, under their own respective privacy policies.

Outside this case, the site does not send data to any other third-party analytics, advertising or social-media providers.

How you can change or withdraw your choice

Any time, from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page on the site — this reopens the preferences panel, where you can accept all, reject the optional ones, or choose exactly which categories you want active.
